Landscape Institute announces successful recruitment of new Standing Committee members

The new Standing Committees put members at the heart of the LI’s work, shaping the future of the profession and collaborating to oversee and facilitate much of our member- and external-facing work.

Members of our previous committees have been invited to continue in their roles for the coming year. After a successful recruitment campaign, we are delighted to present our four new committees, representing the breadth of the landscape profession.

LI CEO Rob Hughes expressed his enthusiasm for the appointments, stating: “We are thrilled by the very high calibre of professionals who stepped forward to join our Standing Committees. Their expertise and passion will be invaluable in shaping the future of the profession, as we continue implementing our New Ways of Working and bringing a culture of collaboration to the LI.”

This continued focus on member participation reflects the LI’s commitment to an inclusive and dynamic professional community. While these committee roles have now been filled, there are still plenty of opportunities for members to get involved and contribute:

  • Join one of a selection of soon-to-be-announced ‘Task and Finish’ groups, reporting to the Standing Committees and focused on specific projects. More information to follow.
  • Network with the professional community in your region by standing for election to one of our Branch Committees, which will be holding elections at their AGMs from April 2025.
  • Shape the overall direction and strategy of the LI by applying to join the Board or Council at the LI Elections 2025. Applications now open!
