In this online course of 6 half-days, you’ll review the Landscape Institute’s Pathway to Chartership syllabus in detail.

This course gives landscape professionals the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in their journey toward becoming Chartered Members of the Landscape Institute. Attendees of previous courses have had a 100% pass rate and you can see some of their quotes further down.
Delivered by LI trained assessors, attendees who are currently on the P2C programme have the opportunity to merge their learning for the Pathway and prepare themselves for the oral assessment.
This course benefits Associate members who are approaching the end of their Pathway experience. However, this course is also open to other member grades, such as Students and Affiliates, who are at the beginning of their career journey at the Landscape Institute and wish to learn more about the Pathway and understand the process of gaining Chartership.

Clare is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over 15 years experience working in the public and private sectors. Clare is Course Leader for Landscape Architecture at the University of East London, where she oversees three post-graduate courses. Clare is a Pathway Assessor and is Deputy Chief Supervisor.

Biography
Wendy is a Chartered Landscape Architect and UDG Recognised Practitioner in Urban Design specialising in LVIA and Green Belt Review on large-scale strategic sites, and has provided expert witness and critical analysis to support successful planning applications, promotions and appeals.
Wendy prides herself on taking a pragmatic and analytical approach to projects, producing high quality work to short deadlines whilst being positive to work with.
Wendy has been an advisor to the Landscape Institute on Green Belt and has been a judge for the Landscape Institute awards. She has been called upon to provide teaching to public bodies, students, P2C candidates and other professionals. Wendy was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts for her work on Green Belt. As director of Landmark, she provided sub consultancy services to some of the leading landscape practices in the country.
Sheena Raeburn FLI

Biography
Sheena is a Fellow of the Landscape Institute, and is co-founder of studio, RaeburnFarquharBowen. Her award-winning practice vision is to enable people and nature to thrive, through delightful, innovative, and ethical landscape design.
Sheena is a Design Council expert and a Building with Nature Assessor. She provides specialist consultancy to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is a member of Architecture and Design Scotland’s Design Forum Panel. She has taught at University of Edinburgh and has been a speaker and panellist at industry events and co-wrote a chapter on Masterplanning for the ICE Blue Green Infrastructure manual.
Her expertise lies within landscape design and green infrastructure masterplans for rural, residential and healing environments. She brings compassion to her own practice and always consider how she can design inclusive, safe spaces for those communities facing social, economic and health inequities.
Avra Ploumi-Archer CMLI

Biography
Avra is a chartered landscape architect and urban designer with over 20 years experience, both in public and private practices and now runs her own practice. Avra has also qualified as a PRINCE2 Practitioner in Project Management, is an accredited designer with Learning Through Landscapes and also teaches the Professional Practice Module at the University of East London.
Avra is involved in all aspects of the landscape discipline; from concept design and masterplanning to detailing of hard and sot landscape, project management and implementation on site.
Avra has worked extensively on Education, Community and Healthcare projects as well as on larger Residential developments from design development and technical detailing, all the way through to project delivery.
Vanessa Ross FLI

Biography
Vanessa is a Fellow of the Landscape Institute with over 25 years’ experience in practice. She is the founding director of Arc Landscape Design and Planning and teaches professional practice on the landscape and urbanism programmes at Kingston University. Vanessa works across many development sectors and is experienced in masterplanning, design codes, public realm design, LVIA/TVIA and regularly acts as an expert witness. She is a member of a number of Design Review Panels and is an approved Building with Nature Assessor. She is also co-chair of the board of directors for Kingston First (Business Improvement District) where she champions public realm improvements to the town centre. Vanessa has been a Pathway to Chartership Assessor, Supervisor and Mentor for many years and is currently a member of the LI’s Advisory Council and deputy chair of the Education and Membership Committee.

CPD
This course is accepted as part of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) required to be completed by LI members. The LI Code of Practice requires members to undertake a minimum of 25 hours of CPD activity each year.
