BBUK created two courtyard gardens for the use of the hospice patients, carers and staff.  The practice worked closely with a working group of clinical and administrative staff throughout the design process.  Both courtyards are paved with handmade brick pavers that closely match the material of the building.  Planting was designed with seasonal highlights and a strong emphasis on scented plant species to stimulate all the senses of the users.
