Bio City Development Company and the Turkish Housing Authority, TOKi, have formed a partnership to create a state-of-the-art paediatric hospital on a 180ha site to the west ofI stanbul, with integrated research and development facilities, Grade A office space and associated high-end housing. This will be the first biomedical science park in the region.A strategic landscape masterplan was developed across the entire site, informed by research into the historic and current design styles and materials of the area. The masterplan was produced in collaboration with an expert on the flora of Turkey, to ensure the protection of a number of rare species found across the site.
